Last Christmas…
I was in Devon and there was snow. This year we hosted a bunch of people at our place and ate and ate and ate. This is me and one of my homies getting into the spirit. I think someone has a photo of all the food we had - when I find it I’ll show you. We had 4 different roasts none of them were turkey. This homie made us all a left-overs omelette with all the varieties of meats and some fried potatoes. Genius.
It’s a pretty big birthday today for my dad. I won’t say how big because then I’ll hear about how old he is. He is not old. Definitely not. He has too much mischief and is too much of a smartie to be old. On the other hand he is one of the wisest people I know. I’m not sure if this makes him a smart wise-ass or a wise smart-ass. I don’t really care, I’m just glad he’s my dad.
I wish I was there to give you a hug and say Happy Birthday in person today Dad. I love you more than words. These last few months have turned my world on it’s head and I can’t tell you how proud of you I am and how brave I think you are. I am as ever glad to be a Daddy’s Girl. Especially now.
I love you Dad. Have a great birthday!!! xx
This is my Dad. Have you ever seen such mischief in a person’s eye? I am thinking this could be why people are always telling me to behave. It’s genetic.
A day in my former life…
A couple of weeks ago I spent a day with these two. My life looks pretty different than it did a year ago when I was their nanny, and I took them for a day at Kew Gardens. We saw Santa, rode the carousel, played, ran around, they got their faces painted - Dinosaur on the left and Giraffe on the right.
They are such good kids and so hilariously funny. It is wonderful to still have them and their fantastic parents in my world, even if it does look different.

This face
How could you not love this face? This face and this photo was the reason I was bothering everyone to get me the Thanksgiving pics quick. I took this photo and I wanted it badly. This is one of my nephews. He’s a thinker, not much of a talker, but he gets his message across. He’s a lot like his daddy - another of my brothers. This little guy holds my heart. Look at that face - how could he not?
